In the 1930s, he opened his own Dance School in Switzerland and learned when the work was carried out that the building was classified as a historic monument. This implies that he can't fix the bars useful for warming up dancers on the walls.
Forced to find another solution, he decided to switch the warm-up exercises of his students to the ground : the floor bar discipline is born!
